About Gerard Greene
Gerard Greene is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and an experienced Men’s Health Physiotherapist based in the UK.
Gerard works clinically in male pelvic pain, pelvic floor rehabilitation after prostate surgery, younger erectile dysfunction, pelvic floor dysfunction in sport, and the use of focused shockwave therapy in pelvic health. He has established two specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapy clinics in London and Birmingham.
Educator, Lecturer, and Advocate
Gerard regularly delivers lectures, workshops, and training sessions on male pelvic health — not only for pelvic health specialists but also for musculoskeletal (MSK) and sports physiotherapists, as well as those working in occupational health settings.
In 2025, Gerard presented for both Physio First (the UK’s leading private practice physiotherapy organisation) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE), encouraging greater cross-specialty collaboration. He also teaches pelvic health for the MACP.
Gerard is a strong advocate for more physiotherapists to engage in pelvic health, and for more male physiotherapists to train and work in this rewarding and rapidly growing field.
International Teaching and Collaboration
Gerard has produced a popular Male Pelvic Pain Webinar for the APTA Pelvic Health Academy and co-delivered a pre-conference course at the APTA CSM 2020 Conference in Denver with his close colleague and friend Dr. Jo Milios. He has also delivered male pelvic health teaching for IFOMPT Asia (Japan); APTA, Japanese Physical Therapy Association, and The South African Physiotherapy Society.
He delivered one of the first practical Men’s Health courses in the Middle East (Dubai) and has taught numerous Men’s Health courses in the UK and Ireland
Academic and Clinical Leadership
Gerard is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Coventry University, where he supports postgraduate education. He is proud to be a #TutorWhoTreats.
